Self Illuminated Exterior Façade Without External Halogen Fixtures

Baba Supersign designed and executed a premium self illuminated exterior façade for TLW at MG Road, Gurgaon. The objective was to achieve maximum brand visibility with a seamless illuminated finish while eliminating the need for external halogen floodlights.

Challenge & Solution

• Uniform, Joint Free Illumination: Solid acrylic would have been ideal for a bright, unbroken glow but prohibitively expensive at this scale. Instead, we engineered a backlit light box system with a smooth acrylic front panel.
• Custom Imageability: To give the façade texture and brand character, we CNC routed an ACP (Aluminium Composite Panel) overlay in a bespoke halftone pattern and mounted it over the acrylic.
• Dimensional Lettering: Solid channel letters were added on top of the acrylic face to introduce a three dimensional effect, making the signage both legible and premium looking.

Materials & Execution

• Light box Frame & LEDs: Engineered aluminium framing houses evenly spaced, energy efficient LED strips that bathe the entire façade in uniform light.
• Acrylic Façade Panel: High opacity sheet provides a smooth, joint free illuminated surface.
• CNC routed ACP Overlay: Precision cut halftone pattern on durable ACP adds branding texture without compromising illumination.
• Solid Channel Letters: Powder coated aluminium letters mounted on standoffs deliver crisp, pop out lettering.

On installation day, the illuminated façade immediately captured attention from every passerby. TLW’s MG Road store became a local landmark and in respect to the client’s trust, this signature design remains exclusive to their locations.
